Whilst maintaining its charm as a historic mountain village, Söll has become a beacon in the 280km SkiWelt area as an ideal base for exploring Austria’s largest lift-linked ski area. The village itself, just an hour from Innsbruck, is compact and features traditional chalet-style buildings and a quaint, historic church. The resort is home to a surprisingly vibrant après ski scene which rivals many larger resorts! Ski buses provide quick and free access to the lifts from the village and you’ll soon be cruising around the 180+ runs of the ski area, which tops out at 1957m.
一点万象app Söll is just one resort in the SkiWelt ski area, which is ideally suited to beginner and intermediate skiers, whilst still offering some thrills for the more advanced skier. There are 17km of black runs, 129km red and 134km blue, all connected by a network of 90 lifts. It all starts on Söll’s Höhe Salve, a proving ground and gateway to the more difficult slopes. It's also the starting point of a lovely family-inclusive run back down to the base. As a bonus, Söll features night skiing every week from Wednesday to Saturday. 11 kilometres of illuminated ski runs suitable for novice and above skiers. A unique treat and definitely something to try.
一点万象app As a small, traditional mountain village there isn’t the raft of non-skiing activities that you might find in larger purpose-built resorts, but you can still have fun without your skis on!
一点万象app There are over 30 mountain huts in the Wilder-Kaiser region, all serving an array of traditionally Austrian mountain fare. In addition, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in Söll itself:
As well as the fun non-skiing options in the Activities tab, Söll also offers ski schools from ages 3 - 14. The Söll-HochSöll school has a dedicated children’s area half way up the mountain with fun apparatus and lessons. If you need a nanny or crèche, the tourist office is your best bet for referrals (located in the centre of the village)
